Taken in downtown San Jose. I like this house.

This is a photo blog of Bail bonds places in the United States. In the San Joaquin Valley, where I live, bail bonds places have started to sprout like weeds in most of the major cities here. Factors include high unemployment, low wages, super-restrictive laws, the abundance of jails, the lack of law and order, and so on. By tracking bail bonds places, we can start a discussion as to how we got to be a society that has more prisoners than people in school.

I like the structure quite a bit too: It looks like one of those old-timey mom-and-pop stores where they do business downstairs and go live upstairs in the evening. While it should probably be an ice cream shop, though, they're selling bail bonds in San Jose, which is pretty sad when you consider that their presence is the sign of demand for their services.
